Bridge A.I. Online learning platform
Overview
The bridge is a government-approved educational institute in Hong Kong. They provide early intervention to children with special educational needs (SEN) using Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA).
This is a tablet version apps for the therapist and the supervisor analyses the SEN student learning performance by recording their behavior, environment, and physiological variables, organize their schedule, and communicate with peers.

Scattered platform for information storage and working procedure
Client needs to use google drive, the current app, and paper to store different information. It is not convenient and ineffective for their daily working routine.

Limited in function and too simplistic UI design
the therapist only can conduct the sessions in the current app, other working routines need to move to other platforms.

Lack of data visualizations for the report analysis
due to the client upgrade their detecting device, they need an easily understanding graph report for showing their data for the analysis. We aim to design a professional dashboard for them.

Supervisors need to customize all SEN students' learning program, so easy to access all the student performance and profile is extremely important to them.

it is good to have an Internal messages platform for their communication since during covid-19 some of their supervisor and therapist are working from home.

The dashboard aims to have a student list, performance, and schedule which need to navigate easily.

Design systems as a guideline for better understanding
Since the education system contains six domains and lots of data variables. So color usage and components are important for them to identify and differentiate all the data. Also can make sure the elements are consistent for further development.

Dashboard for the therapists and supervisors
The dashboard provides the student watchlist, student overall performance, and schedule. Also, they can easily access the coming sessions and report on the student performance.

Provide Data visualization solutions in student report
The student profile page will provide session & monthly reports with infographics, and charts for therapists and supervisors to track and analyze student behavior and performance. In the report, they can understand which variables affect students' performance and have the insight for them to review the teaching program

Outcome and takeaway
the client is very impressed with our effort, they think our designs are a professional, convenient, and user-friendly platform. And will take the designs and work with their partner ASTRI for the further improvement and optimization of their platform.

Understanding users' needs and their working processes can provide insight into your design.
After we conduct an observation of how therapist and supervisor works, it gives us a clear mindset of their needs and limitations. it's really helpful for us to design a platform thats can really fits their needs.
2.
User testings are important during the design process
Always ask for the client's comment and observe how they use the prototype can provide lots of ideas for improving the experience for the end-user. Always find ways to collect and listen to your user's feedback.
